I have written journals all my life. I’ve used both MacJournal and Day One, the former the longest. I was going to write an article on these two products and then I came across this post and was very impressed with the thoroughness of the comparison and the analysis. I had already drawn the same conclusion for almost all of the same reasons. In my view Day One is the best from a UI, interactive and sync perspective. I don’t care, as the author does, that there is only one Journal. You can have multiple day entries in the one journal. But the author has done an excellent job comparing these two products. In addition, the author is a delight to read. I am very impressed.
